Will I have to do burpees?

By Helen Wood | August 9, 2016

The question I’ve been surprised by how many times the burpee has been mentioned in initial consultation meetings for Personal Training. Sometimes it’s given its name, usually by those who have it etched in their memory, or more often, it’s just referred to as ‘that’ exercise…… ‘you know the horrible one where you’re sort…

By Helen Wood | July 23, 2016

Kettlebells, bodyweight exercises & HIIT cardio training all in one workout! Anyone who already knows me, knows I love a kettlebell, a great addition to any workout or a workout in itself.  The kettlebell (a cannon ball shaped piece of metal with a handle) is generally used in functional movements, focussing on he whole body…

How much space do I need at home for personal training?

Small spaces are fine, gardens, yards, kitchens and lounges can all suitable. This will be taken into account when designing workouts for you.

I haven't exercised for years, will it be too tough for me?

All programmes are personalised to individuals, I don't design the 8 week programme until we have had a couple of sessions to ensure it is suitable for you.

I've got a couple of friends who would like to get started, can we do it together?

Fitness with friends packages can be tailored to your requirements, this can be individual programmes or private classes such as kettlebells or Metafit. If you let me know your aims I can advise on the best approach.

Can you add more/different classes to the timetable?

I am always looking for new venues, particularly at the moment looking for September onwards, so if you have any suggestions please get in touch.
